My take on a southern classic

Salmon croquettes are one of those recipes that reminds me of my childhood. When I was younger, my grandmother would make these with some piping hot grits. It was the kind of meal that made me fall in love with cooking. The memories alone resonate with me and now that I’m older, I make this for my family as frequent as my grandmother did for us.
Salmon croquettes are so easy to make

My salmon croquette recipe is one of those recipes that’s easy to make! More than likely, you have a majority of the ingredients in the household. This recipe calls for fresh salmon, although traditionally, many people (including my grandmother) used canned pink salmon.
I always encourage people to get groceries based on their budget and preference. So if you want/can afford fresh salmon, by all means grab it. If you prefer canned salmon, use that!
